1 accepted. You cannot add to the hierarchy for what is already there. Epic is the top level, and then standard issue types like story and then finally sub-task below story. But you cannot insert another level between those. And Epics cannot be attached to other Epics. Except with JIRA software premium, right - where you have Initiatives too
The Agile Plugin itself resolves the relation epic<->story w hen loaded. W hat could help is to implement a groovy script that is called w hen a stories' "Epic Link" field is modified. This script could resolve the epic and then simply add a comment to the epic and all w atchers w ould get a mail. bgoodr Jan 24, 2018.
None of these features appear to be available in my JIRA. I found I am able to do this by using Bulk Change Tool, ->select the Issue I want edit, -> Edit the selected issue -> and select the Initiative in the Change Parent Link drop down field. I believe your admin can add the field "Parent Link" (type = Parent Link) to your Create / Edit
3. The newly converted Story will disappear from the story map as it is not currently linked to an Epic. You can re-add it to the story map by clicking the "Add Existing Issue" link under the Epic you wish to link it to. 4. In order to delete an Epic you must enter the Epic's settings page and select the delete option.
Once i added it, it worked. Add the Assignee field to the ' Edit Issue screen' of the issue by following the steps provided below: Head to your Project Settings > Screens. For any of the Issue Types, on the Operation Edit Issue, click on the screen. Check if there is an 'Assignee' field on the screen. If not, please add them.
